L'estime de soi et le support social chez des préadolescents en situation d'échec scolaire
Résumé
A lot of researches or theories have ascribed an important place to the link between "self-esteem and social support". Working in this framework, we highlighted the interacting feature of this link through a research study conducted in 1996. The level of the "self-esteem" variable depends on that of the "social variable". There is, at this level, an interacting fact, showing a link that can be qualified as dynamic between them. The different models that we built reveal that this aspect is essential. In a preadolescent school failure situation, the level of appreciation of social support perceived or received from relatives is more determinant than that of self-esteem, considered in isolation.
