LINGUISTIQUE Bè et bí en bamanankan : des variantes ?
Résumé
In this contribution we have met syntactic constructions which are accepting only the morpheme bí and others which are permiting only the use of the morpheme bè. Types of syntactic constructions have been presented, where the substitution of bè by bí results in the
invalidation of these constructions. But it is possible in certain cases. Other types of syntactic constructions have showed us that bè and bí can substitute one by the other, but that this substitution is obligatorily accompanied with the changing of the meaning of these syntactic
constructions. Concerning all these demonstrations that we have just made, we think that we haven't to do with different variants of the same morpheme. Consequently, we propose for the moment before making a dialectal comparison of the linguistic area of Ségou and the other aeras to consider bè in the here described dialect as a
verb which corresponds in the standard to what Creissels calls "non verbal predicative". Bí is a congugation morpheme and corresponds in the standard to what Creissels calls "verbal predicative".
