Migrations et conflits de pêche le long du Littoral sénégalo-mauritanien : le cas des pêcheurs de GuetNdar de Saint-Louis (Sénégal)
Résumé
The guet ndarian fishermen of Saint-Louis in Senegal have developed a long time ago marine pathways along the Senegalese and Mauritanian littoral. The migration cycles generate diverse socio-economic consequences and different conflicts. Their analysis reveals three major facts.
The incidence of an old crisis having opposed Senegal and Mauritania on April 1989, over the dynamic of the migrations of the Senegalese fishermen. The increasing impact of the fishing industry on the Mauritanian economy has overturned the guet-ndarian migrations. In addition, the border between the two countries still remains a sensitive
question.
