Mouvements sociaux et ordre politique en Afrique de l'Ouest : de l'identité au problème des frontières et de la territorialité en Côte d'Ivoire

Résumé

The war that takes place in Côte d'Ivoire would be considered like a war of recognition between the different ethnical groups, a war of decomposition, as in the neighbouring Mano river connection or farther in the Big Lakes region. Analyses on the origin of this crisis let, however, sceptical about the causal sequence between the determinant and the final product, (the war of recognition or decomposition) that is not completely transparent to the intellectual or ideological factor that would constitute the ivoirité. Otherwise, the historicity of the crisis in Côte d'Ivoire and its implications in the West African sub region reveals the condemnation more than the explanation. It accredits the idea of a regional intertribal war in Africa and the common meaning that the political changes in Africa cannot operate without violence.
