The authors report the results of a retrospective study relating to 6 cases of aortic dissection hospitalized in acute phase between February 2008 and July 2010 in the service of cardiology of the University Hospital complex of the Point G to Bamako in Mali. The objective was starting from this series to release the prévalence and the prognostic elements of the disease in acute phase. Transthoracic echography and the thoracic tomodensitometry made it possible to make the diagnosis of the disease. Arterial Hypertension (HTA) was the constant factor etiologic in the series. The tobacco and oral contraception in were found respectively at 3 and 1 patients. Among all patients the treatment will remain medical for lack of technical plate for the surgery. The evolution was favorable in only 2 cases; the 4 others will die in a table of rupture.Downloads
