Maternal mortality and elevated neonatal to Mali justify the stake in work of strategy of struggle and prevention as the organization of the reference/evacuation system in the sanitary districts. In the goal to contribute to the reduction of this mortality we studied the relation between prognosis maternal and fetal and the distance browsed on the one hand and on the other hand the fashion of admission in the sanitary district of Kéniéba. It was about a transverse, descriptive and retrospective survey that concerned all 112 pregnant women either referred evacuees for an obstetric reason of January 1st to December 31, 2008. The frequency of the reference / evacuation was 15,7%. All women had browsed a distance superior to 15 km for 43,3% of cases evacuated the middle length of course was 6 hours. We recorded 3,7% deaths either and 35,8% deaths been born. There was a statistically significant relationship between the distance traveled and the condition of newborns (P = 0,005) on the one hand and the mode of admission and fetal prognosis (p<10-3) on the other. Conclusion: The results obtained in this study that should be deepened, can be used in the planning and implementation of strategies for improving maternal and fetal prognosis and strengthening the reference case.Downloads
