In 2018, Mali reported 1485 cases of measles including 4 deaths in children under 5 years old. Since 1998 the epidemiological surveillance data of measles have not been analyzed, hence the objective of this study is to analyze measles data from 2009 to 2018 from the Tominian health district. Methods: A retrospective cross- sectional study was conducted on measles data from 2009 to 2018 in Tominian. The data were analyzed by time, place and persons. The results were expressed in frequencies and proportions. Results: A total of 96 measles cases were recorded with zero deaths. There were 24 biologically confirmed cases and 17 by epidemiological link. The under-fives were the most represented with 42.71% with a predominance of the male sex (55 cases). 2013 was the year with the highest number of 31 cases and no cases were reported in 2011 and 2014. Most cases occurred between March and April. The health area of Ouan reported the highest number of cases 32 (33%) while 9 areas reported no cases for 10 years. Vaccination coverage in the district remained below 95%. Conclusion: Measles evolves cyclically in Tominian with vaccination coverage below 95%. The majority of cases were unvaccinated male children. Nine health areas did not report any cases.Downloads
