Introduction: Sexual violence remains a taboo in our country despite the increase in the number of cases per year and the existence of the Association for the Defence of Women's Rights (APDF). Our goal was to study the clinical and judicial aspects of sexual violence in the Ségou region. Methodology: This was a forward-looking, retro-looking descriptive study from September 2010 to September 2018, all cases of sexual violence, addressed for medico-judicial purposes, which were collected in the hospital and in the health districts of Ségou. Results: We recorded 107 cases of sexual assault out of 47729 gynaecological consultations, representing a hospital prevalence of 0.22 %. The victims were between the ages of 10 and 15 in 48.59 % of cases. Students were the most represented with 53.27 % of cases. Survivors were admitted on requisition in 79.44% of cases. Genitourinary contact was recorded in 90.65% of cases. Vulvo-perineal lesions were present in 44.86% of survivors. Sexual assault had led to prosecution in 34.57 % of cases. Sexual assault was committed by a single individual in 60.75 % of cases and by a victim's boyfriend in 21.5% of cases. Survivors had consulted within 24 hours of sexual assault in 40.19 % of cases. Conclusion: Sexual violence remains a concern, although its frequency is persistent. This scourge mainly affects children and adolescents. They were prosecuted in one-third of the cases.
