Abstract

Introduction: all new mothers run the risk of immediate postpartum hemorrhage, most often leading to the need for transfusion. Faced with this frequent recourse, it is necessary to audit transfusion practices. Materials and method: this was a prospective cross-sectional descriptive study of 32 cases of postpartum blood transfusion from January 1 to October 31, 2018. The objective was to assess transfusion practices in a situation of obstetric emergency at the CSRéf in Kalaban-Coro.
