Abstract

Objective: to describe the diagnostic aspects and recall the main therapeutic lines of post-traumatic meningitis by osteomeningeal breach in a precarious environment.
Observation: The authors report the case of a 30-year-old patient in whom the exploration of a rhinorrhea evolving in a state of deterioration of the general condition and of febrile tonic-clonic convulsive seizures led to the diagnosis of meningitis. acute bacterial by osteomeningeal breach 1 year after the trauma. The patient received medical treatment with no sequelae. Given the limits imposed by our technical platform, closing the gap remains the prerogative of the neurosurgeon.
Conclusion: post-traumatic meningitis due to osteomeningeal breach is rare. The first step towards diagnosis is the monitoring of traumatic brain injuries. The management remains multidisciplinary
