Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 constitutes a pandemic. Health personnel are a risk group. The objective of the work was to report a clinical case of infection with the novel coronavirus in healthcare workers.
Observation: this was a COVID-19 infection diagnosed in a young woman, a health worker, age 31 years and who had no medical history following the unfavorable course of simple malaria access. The manifestations presented by the patient were dominated by fever, asthenia, headache and cough. The diagnosis was made by RT-PCR when the RDT was negative. The outcome was favorable with chloroquine, zinc and azithromycin.
Conclusion: Screening for COVID-19 should be systematic in the face of malaria treatment failure.
